MyDefrag is a defragment utility for Windows that fast and easy to use and can also be set to work automatically. MyDefrag is a disk defragmenter and optimizer for Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, 2008, Wint and for X64. MyDefrag is freeware, there is no limit of time, very functional, no advertisements. This software works quickly, using a number of optimization strategies, can handle floppies, USB disks, memory sticks, and other matters that appear to look like a disk to Windows. MyDefrag is a also features an easy script for the enduser to use, a scripting engine for demanding users, a screensaver, and a combined Windows plus commandline version that can be scheduled by the Windows task scheduler or use from administrator scripts.
MyDefrag is stable because, based on the standard defragmentation API by Microsoft, a system library that is contained in Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, 2008 and Windows 7. Almost every defragmenter based on this API, including free defragmenter in Windows and a number of commercial defragmenter. Basically what it does is send a command MyDefrag "move this file to That location" into the API. API is part of the operating system and can move almost any file into the disk safely, without risk.
Know Defragmentation
For those of you who still do not know what it is defragmentation, imagine a book split into several parts, some page was in it, another page in another room on another floor as well. You have to walk quite a distance when you have read the book because the pages scattered. It sounds ridiculous, but this is what happens to the files in your hard disk. At the defragmentation process, the software will unify these books into one again, with various previously separate page. Defragmentation software will put the parts back together around the same time, make your computer faster.
